About Susan

Susan Butler was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.  She moved away briefly to attend Rollins College, where she participated in the Honors Degree Program and studied Classical Philosophy, Languages, and Literature.  Susan returned to her hometown to attend The University of Cincinnati College of Law, during which time she served on the Moot Court Board and completed a year-long fellowship with the Ohio Innocence Project.

Susan has spent her entire career representing plaintiffs in employment, personal injury, and other insurance matters and has been repeatedly recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Ohio.  She has successfully represented clients in jury trials in both state and federal courts and has an extensive background in appellate advocacy.  Over the course of fifteen years representing individuals, Susan has learned that the litigation process is intimidating for most people and is often considered a last resort to remedy a seemingly insurmountable life challenge.  As a result, Susan prioritizes taking time with each client to understand their unique situation and desired outcomes and then works hard to establish a collaborative attorney/client relationship aimed at achieving those goals.

Susan lives in Kenwood with her chihuahua, Bear Gobble, and spends her free time on the tennis court, in the Pilates studio, and traveling.
